Dinner was delish, pan seared wild salmon, seasoned with Old Bay and
Essence salt and pepper, then I made a sauce out of the scrapings
hoisin sauce soy and garlic with red wine reduced then some wild fried
rice

is at the hospital with grand daughter number two of five... she's
doing better but the Dr.'s want to send her to LeBouner after the
consult in the morning, we will see, keep her in your prayers please...

OH Bother, more work today at the SO......

Today being mothers day of course were having a match stage one an IPSC classifier " Big Barracade " was shot with both our pistols and rifles.
Stage two setup by Sam Keen included some running, 3 long range pistol shots, and running inside the house to engage some hidden steel.
Stage 3 another Sam Keen killer with the Texas star a hostage swinger and 25 steel targets.
Stage 4 has 4 rifle targets at 150 yards and 18 steel for the pistol, an excellent weather day with 2 squads of 6 shooters we had a great time

4H Match

Had a really incredible 4H match, with over 160 shooters, the shooters competed in all 4H disciplines including shotgun and archery. Everyone had a great time, plenty of fun, food and shooting, the day was a complete success. If you looked real close you would have found me there helping Range Officer Sam Keen with the 3 position air pistol group on stages 2 and 3

If you ask enough people the same question eventually you will find someone who agrees with you, just look at this article from ABC http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Story?id=7298996&page=1 although they do bring up some good points, it's the same thing that happens to Law Enforcement and in a nut shell it's fight or flight, at least the armed citizen has a choice.

More on gun control

I was watch Fox and Friends this morning, Gretchen had a couple of guys on the show talking about gun control issues, one for one against. One of the guys said "Guns kill people" I wish someone would have walked on the set and set a gun the coffee table and told that gun to kill him, obviously the gun being an inanimate object would have continued to sit there, then we needed someone to put lets say maybe a hammer on the table and told it to kill him, once again the the inanimate object would have just set there, guns can not kill any more people then a hammer can, someone has to pickup the object and use it, a gun is a tool the same as a hammer although there designed to do different things they can be used to the same thing, but they must be used. So lets make more laws to regulate guns for law abiding citizens, OH wait guns are used by criminals, criminals don't follow the law, so lets make more laws for the criminals not to follow ya that will work. In my years in Law Enforcement the most effective deterrent has been use a gun go to jail, the failure has been in liberal judges not enforcing the laws by giving probation or some other sentence. A simple gun law that I would support, use a gun go to jail for the rest of your life, although the logistics to implement has obvious repercussions that would truly be a deterrent.
