Carrying a Gun Wouldn't Necessarily Get You Out of a Shooting

If you ask enough people the same question eventually you will find someone who agrees with you, just look at this article from ABC http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Story?id=7298996&page=1 although they do bring up some good points, it's the same thing that happens to Law Enforcement and in a nut shell it's fight or flight, at least the armed citizen has a choice.

I was watch Fox and Friends this morning, Gretchen had a couple of guys on the show talking about gun control issues, one for one against. One of the guys said "Guns kill people" I wish someone would have walked on the set and set a gun the coffee table and told that gun to kill him, obviously the gun being an inanimate object would have continued to sit there, then we needed someone to put lets say maybe a hammer on the table and told it to kill him, once again the the inanimate object would have just set there, guns can not kill any more people then a hammer can, someone has to pickup the object and use it, a gun is a tool the same as a hammer although there designed to do different things they can be used to the same thing, but they must be used. So lets make more laws to regulate guns for law abiding citizens, OH wait guns are used by criminals, criminals don't follow the law, so lets make more laws for the criminals not to follow ya that will work. In my years in Law Enforcement the most effective deterrent has been use a gun go to jail, the failure has been in liberal judges not enforcing the laws by giving probation or some other sentence. A simple gun law that I would support, use a gun go to jail for the rest of your life, although the logistics to implement has obvious repercussions that would truly be a deterrent.
